Update: I found the rebate in The Oregonian.
A few months back we saw a similar rebate and hopefully many of us will find this in our newspapers too! i think we even found them in Safeway stores soon after. If you find the rebate, please leave a comment letting us know where you found it. Thanks!

My San Francisco Chronicle SS 9/9 contains a new Safeway/General Mills mail in rebate offer up to $40 on 12 items–frozen veggies, cereals, yogurts and more! Purchase between 9/9-9/22. There are two SS inserts, and the TRy Me Free is inside the thicker SS with Aveeno on the cover.

Found one in Sac Bee. I hadn’t noticed it until you mentioned it so I had been pouting about no really exciting or high value coupons today.

It was in the larger SS with quite a few GM coupons in the surrounding pages. I missed it the first time as it just looked like a store ad since much of the2 page spread displayed Safeway prices.

Be sure to save copies of everything if you do the rebate. I did the $37 rebate this summer and General Mills said they never received it. I had to fax copies of my receipt and the rebate form 2 different times in the last month and I’m still awaiting my $37 rebate check from this past June.

I am still waiting too, and did not have any contact from them saying that they did not receive the submission. Anybody receive their June rebate already ?

I got mine very recently! I did the deal the very first day it was available and mailed it the next day…it took a good 2 months to get the check!

In LA times it is in the SS with the DirecTV ad on the front. I love this! Got $26 back last time.

Hey guys, FWIW, I did get my check from the previous rebate. But I think I’m out of luck with this one, as I only get the CC Times now. (Just canceled the Chronicle, boo hoo!!!)
Let’s hope it pops up at Safeway stores too!

St. Louis area didn’t get the rebate either. I contacted their customer service dept and was told that they didn’t have any printed rebates to mail out.
